easy as healthy seed crackers
These are SO easy and an essential for your healthy pantry as they have no vegetable oils like most of the store bought ones.
Ingredients
1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
1/4 cup flax seeds
1/8 cup hemp seeds
1/2 cup sesame seeds
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup chia seeds
1 cup water
1/4 teaspoon salt ( celtic if available)
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon rosemary
generous crack of pepper
you can mix up your herbs and spices as you wish-
To make
Line a large baking tray with baking paper and preheat oven to 160c. In a bowl mix all the seeds together and once mixed add the water and the herbs, salt and pepper and combine. Let it sit for about 5 - 10 minutes and the chia seeds absorb the water. When the liquid is absorbed you can stir the mixture before spreading it quite thinly on the backing paper. You can press it down with a piece of baking paper on top as well.
Cut the mixture to your cracker size and bake for 25 mins checking during the time.
Remove from oven and carefully flip the crackers over and bake for another 15 minutes - keeping an eye on them they don’t burn.
They are ok without flipping them - they are just a little crunchier if you do!
